Return and Refund Policy

At Danielle Victoria Design, we are committed to delivering exceptional interior design services and ensuring your complete satisfaction. This Return and Refund Policy outlines the terms applicable to our professional services and any furniture or products procured on your behalf through our studio.

Design Services

Consultation Fees

Consultation fees are payable in advance and are non-refundable once the consultation has taken place. If you need to reschedule your consultation, we require at least forty-eight hours' notice. Consultations cancelled with less than forty-eight hours' notice or missed without notification will not be eligible for a refund.

Design Service Deposits

A deposit is required to secure your project in our schedule. The deposit amount and payment terms are specified in your individual proposal and service agreement. Deposits are generally non-refundable, as they reserve your position in our project calendar and cover initial administrative and preparatory work. The specific terms applicable to your deposit are detailed in your signed agreement.

Ongoing Project Fees

Design service fees are invoiced in stages as outlined in your service agreement. Fees for work that has been completed and delivered are non-refundable. If you wish to terminate a project before completion, you will be responsible for payment of all work completed to the date of termination, including any outstanding invoices, third-party costs incurred, and a reasonable proportion of any stage currently in progress.

Furniture and Product Procurement

Custom and Made-to-Order Items

Custom furniture, bespoke joinery, and made-to-order products are manufactured specifically for your project and cannot be returned or refunded once production has commenced. Before placing any custom order, we provide detailed specifications, fabric samples, and imagery for your written approval. This approval authorises production and confirms your acceptance of the item as specified.

Standard Products

For standard (non-custom) furniture and homewares procured through our studio, returns are subject to the individual supplier's return policy. Many suppliers do not accept returns on furniture items due to the nature of the product. Where a return is possible, items must be unused, in their original packaging, and returned within fourteen days of delivery. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the client unless the item is faulty or significantly different from what was ordered.

Damaged or Faulty Items

We inspect all items upon delivery and coordinate directly with suppliers to resolve any issues with damaged or faulty goods. If an item arrives damaged or is found to be defective, please notify us within forty-eight hours of delivery. We will work with the supplier to arrange a replacement, repair, or refund as appropriate. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law are not affected by this policy.

Cancellation of Orders

If you wish to cancel an order for furniture or products, please contact us as soon as possible. Cancellations requested before the order has been placed with the supplier may be accommodated without penalty. Once an order has been placed, cancellation may not be possible or may be subject to cancellation fees imposed by the supplier, which will be passed on to you.

Dispute Resolution

If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of our services or a product procured through us, we encourage you to contact us directly so we can work together to resolve the matter. We are committed to finding fair and reasonable solutions and will endeavour to address your concern promptly and professionally.

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this policy is intended to limit or exclude any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law. Where our services or products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian law, our liability is limited to the re-supply of the services or the cost of having the services supplied again.
